读书,学习,生活November 13 充满矛盾的心理废话一篇
人应该跟别人相比较，或者是不比好呢。
比较的好处，发现不足迎头赶上，或者产生嫉妒感，增加动力。若不比较，惰性又会占上风。
我（们）经常做的事情，就是相对周围的人比较，而忽略了更广范围的人。但谁又知道那个上界在哪里呢？
还是要不断进步的，以满足我们心中的欲望，而不是为了取得最高的位置。 November 03 无题有些人就喜欢吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸。 经过找工与meeting，该静下心来，把事情做好： ICML09 due : 2010-02-01 Graduate school application due TA three threads only 继续感触老任心情很好，可能是因为要继续搞自然基金申请的原因，呵呵。

中午出去，跟Wei在cityview会合。见面时当然要拥抱一下。
接着就在旺角这个地方逛。先去找素菜馆（通菜街62号），接着去喝双皮奶（顺隆牛奶公司，应该没记错吧）、吃甜品（双皮奶附近的一家店）。去维港拍了一些照片。最后回到cityview吃饭。
今天Wei讲了很多东西，是以前没想过的：
1 vision，他准备回国，然后用10年的时间，发展一个新的数据库方向。
2. systematic，这是做research的一种方法。
3. 哪些人适合做faculty，他认为这种人的发展更加全面。
4. 他认为做好事情的因素有：聪明、扎实与处理人际关系，只聪明不扎实只是小聪明。
5. 对你好的人越来越少，要珍惜。
......
加油吧。 October 30 留IP@HK今天下午3:30在大学城出发，到目的地大概是9:00多。
明天上午去HKUST，中午与下午几个人出去逛，第一次来港，第一次印象应该会很好。
香港环境比广州好很多，街道干净、空气质量也很好，在路边也没什么废气的味道。
希望这次香港能够改变一些关于大方向的想法，变得成熟，然后更好地前进。
